What is a conversation?
It is an exchange of observations and ideas between at least two objects. It causes an action and a response, each a reference to the other creating a relation.

My work develops from my interest in the aspects of space; how a structure can occupy a space, how it can be altered, and how the viewer experiences the sculpture. Working with geometric forms allows me to use only what is necessary to affect the space and create work that is self-referential. The widely used color black, is an ode to the object itself, creating a sculpture in the space rather than a sculpture alluding to an existing form.

The works presented in this exhibition are binary, composed of two related forms. Each creating a relationship and a conversation between them. Works such as Columns need one another to create a conversation between them, whereas Two Plates need two acrylic sheets to form a composition in their own space.
