FEMALE ARTISTS
from the collection

Doris Bauer Outdoor Show n.d. paper collage 7” x 10”

MORE INFO BELOW:

In contrast to the exhibition, Mid-20th Century Women in Art at the RAL, in the Ventures Gallery, this exhibition consists of contemporary works from RAL’s Permanent Collection created by female artists.

The Rehoboth Art League’s permanent collection contains over 700 art items, which are of high quality and have historical significance. There are over 200 works in our collection that were created by the art league’s heritage artists, who shaped the league’s formation. They reflect the art league’s focus on both Delaware art and artists.

The Rehoboth Art League is one of only a few institutions in the State of Delaware collecting works from both heritage and contemporary artists. Criteria used to determine whether a work is accessioned into the permanent collection are: Its historical significance; its relationship to the art league; the quality of the artwork; the vitae of the artist; the recognition of the artist in the arts community, and exceptional work.

If you are interested in, or have questions regarding, donating a work to our permanent collection, please contact Artistic Director, Jay Pastore. ( This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. )
