Thursday and Friday, January 19 and 20, 9:30 am - 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm Joyce Kilmer was correct – there is nothing like a tree. Besides offering protection from rain and wind, they change with the seasons and add beauty to our lives. Studying the character of different kinds of trees will improve our landscapes in every medium. Handouts, discussions and demos are included.

About Dolores Andrew
Dolores Andrew is an artist and designer who creates work in a variety of media in both the fine art and the needle art disciplines. She holds a BFA in painting from Syracuse University and an MFA in Art Education from Maryland Institute College of Art. She is represented by several galleries, and her work has been accepted in juried shows throughout the United States, with both large works and miniatures. She recently retired as an Associate Professor of Art from Essex Community College in Baltimore County, Maryland. In the summer, she lives in Rehoboth Beach, where she has been on the summer faculty of the Rehoboth Art League for 27 years. She chaired the Outdoor Show for 20 years and illustrated the Cottage Tour Catalog also for 20 years.
She is a Certified Master Judge of embroidery, and has written and illustrated three books on textile subjects. More examples of her work in various media are available on her web site: DoloresAndrewDesigns.com

Tuesdays, March 6 through March 27, 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm Students concentrate on the concepts, skills and fun of drawing. Open to all levels to build rendering skills in a relaxed and imaginative environment. Curriculum includes the basics of line, perspective, gesture and form. All materials provided or bring your own favorite drawing tools.
