63rd Annual Cottage Tour
Dear Artists:
We are very excited to announce that the 2012 program book for the 63rd Annual Rehoboth Art League Cottage Tour will again be in full color. As an arts organization, we want to encourage the creation and promotion of art in all we do. The Cottage Tour Committee is conducting two art competitions:
- To choose an artist to create pictures of the 2012 tour homes for the program book. The winning artist/artists will receive a stipend of $250 per house and participate in the patron reception where their paintings will be given to each owner of this year’s tour homes.
- To choose an artist to design the 2012 cottage tour program cover and promotional poster and rack cards. The winning artist will receive a $250 award.
Both winning artists will be featured in press material, on the RAL website and in the tour program book
To enter the competition and be considered for the commission or award, please submit a two-dimensional, full color work (any medium) that you have created in the past 24 months. Originals are preferred but you may submit a photo 8 x 10 or larger. Artwork will be returned.
- If you are submitting for the competition to create house pictures, please submit work that depicts a home or business property in this region.
- If you are submitting for the competition to create the book cover/poster – then submit work that represents your style.
- Your name, address, phone number and email address must be affixed to the back of the piece along with which competition you are entering.
Work must be received in the Rehoboth Art League office by February 17, 2012.
Winner(s) will be announced by March 1st. The deadline for completing artwork will be May 25, 2011. Payment will be made upon completion of the commission. The 2012 Cottage Tour is July 10th and 11th.
