Linneweh fractures and re-assembles the landscape using geometric abstract shapes, often leaving portions of the wood panel exposed. Reddington’s landscape are reduced to simple shapes and lines filled in with flat swatches of color.

Sounds of Many Waters, Drawings and paintings by Brooke Rogers

The Truth Lies, Works by Cassie Taggart

Flying in and Out of Margins, Prints and drawings by Oscar Gillespie
The Homestead

As a printmaker, Gillespie is noted for his expertise in monotypes and in intaglio, especially metal-plate engraving. The extraordinary line work in his prints and drawing demands attention for its master of form, as well as its expressive undulations.

Head On, Sculpture by Cori Beardsley
Tubbs Gallery

Beardsley’s sculpture is driven by her love of the physical relations with materials and the dram of something emerging in space. Working mostly in ceramics, much of her work explores the myriad mutations the human form can take.

Spectrum: Works by Aina Nergaard-Namaack

6th Annual Regional Juried Biannual Show
Corkran, Tubbs and Ventures Galleries
This exhibition is open to all artists living in Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Virginia, West Virginia and Washington, D.C. It represents a strong collection of works by master-level fine artists and artisans.

Members’ Showcase – Wearable Art
The Homestead To recognize our members who make jewelry, clothing, hats, or any other wearable art, we put together this showcase. The term “Wearable Art” is intentionally ambiguous and could cover a multitude of things. Jewelry, clothing, and hats are all obvious, but what else could it mean?

NOVEMBER 7 – 30, 2014

Framework, Artworks by Kristin Texeira
Corkran, Gallery

Texeira re-tells stories through various methods of mark-making using paint, collage, sketching and writing. This process preserves memories as tangible ‘maps’. Her abstract works tell us stories through her memories of color, rather than a direct perception of them.
