Join us for a fun-filled watercolor adventure! Over the course of three days, we’ll dive into the captivating world of watercolor painting. I’ll kick things off with a demonstration that highlights various techniques, so even if you’re a beginner, you’ll receive tailored guidance to boost your skills. We’ll explore a variety of subjects, from breathtaking landscapes and serene seascapes to birds and local scenery, giving you plenty of opportunities to express your creativity. Not only will you enhance your artistic talents, but you’ll also meet new friends and create wonderful memories along the way. Come and experience the joy of watercolor with us!

Supply List

To practice drawing and take notes, students need a mix media drawing notebook along with essential items like water container, pencil, kneaded eraser, palette knife, viva paper towels, misting bottle, sea sponge, liquid masking fluid, and resource photos.

For watercolor painting, students should have brushes like sable, squirrel, synthetic, or a mix of these materials in round sizes #12, 8, 6, and 4, as well as a rigger or liner brush with thin, long hair #3, a few flat brushes in sizes 3/4 inch, 1″, and 2″, and mop brushes made with squirrel hair.

It is advised to use 100% cotton watercolor paper like Arches 140 LB. white, Winsor Newton 140lb. paper, Kilimanjaro watercolor paper, Fabriano watercolor paper, Saunders Waterford watercolor paper, or Traditional by Hahnemuhle. Size of paper a block of  12 “ by 16” fits most standard mats and frames.

Good brands for watercolor paints to consider are Winsor Newton, Holbein, DaVinci, MaimeriBlu, Graham, Daniel Smith, Schmincke, Grumbacher, and Sennelier.
