Class Information
Colorist painter, Jan Crooker recently completed a series of trips where she visited sites where Van Gogh painted. She started in the Netherlands at the Van Gogh Museum and the Koller Mueller Museum. After a pause due to COVID she visited the Muse d’Orsay and the town of Auvers-sur-Oise. Recently, she visited Arles and the Saint Paul Hospital in Remy. In her series of images she illustrates her quest.
She is a member of the Rehoboth Art League. She earned her MFA at Penn State and taught at Universities in California and Pennsylvania. Jan is a color focused painter living in Bethany Beach. She has exhibited nationwide.

Mixed brushes (round and flat)
Palette knife
Acrylic Paint: Titanium white, cadmium yellow medium, ultramarine blue, cadmium red medium, green, orange and purple.
Acrylic medium, for mixing (comes in matt or gloss)
Mixing surface (Many artist use a disposable palette. I use a Masterson palette as it can keep paint wet for an extended time.) The cheapest surface is a white paper plate.
Painting Surface: I recommend a 9″ x 12″ canvas pad. This is nice for beginners but any canvas surface is fine.
