Wheel Throwing Level I with Jeff Stickle

Class Information

This entry/beginner level class introduces you to “throwing” clay on the potter’s wheel. You will learn about preparing clay to be shaped on the wheel and the actions needed to complete a handmade piece of work.  The actions you will learn are: centering, coning up, opening, pulling up, trimming, and glazing. In addition, we will learn the basics of applying handles to thrown pieces when you make a mug. Upon the completion of this course, you will have the basics to be able to move on in thrown pottery.
