Wheel Throwing I – Beginner I

Class Information

This entry/beginner level class introduces you to “throwing” clay on the potter’s wheel.   You will learn about preparing clay to be shaped on the wheel and the actions needed to complete a handmade piece of work.  The actions you will learn are: centering, coning up, opening, pulling up, trimming, and glazing. Upon the completion of this course, you will have the basics to be able to move on in thrown pottery. Clay and tools provided.
