The Rehoboth Art League is honored to showcase the work of longtime artist member, instructor, and events coordinator, Dolores Andrew.

Dolores is an artist and designer who creates work in a variety of media in both the fine art, and the needleart disciplines. She holds a BFA in painting from Syracuse University, and an MFA in Art Education from Maryland Institute College of Art. She is represented by several galleries, and her work has been accepted in juried shows through the United States, with both large works and miniatures. She is retired as an Associate Professor of Art from Essex Community College in Baltimore County, Maryland. She is a Charter, as well as a Signature Member of the Maryland Pastel Society. During the summer for over 30 years, she taught for the Rehoboth Art League in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.  She chaired the RAL Outdoor Show for 16 years, illustrated the Cottage Tour Catalog for 20 years, and also was a member of the weekly Sketch Group during the summers. Another of Dolores’ interests is   Miniatures, which she has both painted and judged for several years. She is a member of several Miniature Societies. When not in Rehoboth, Dolores worked for 20 years at the Maryland State Fair. She chaired the Art and Photography Depts, handling both the entries, and the judging. She was a demonstrator there as well.

Dolores is a certified Master Teacher from the National Academy of Needlearts, is a Charter member, and has completed their Honors program. She is also a NAN Certified Master Judge and received their Lifetime Achievement Award in 2005. She is currently the Mentor of Master Judging Certification for NAN.  She has written and illustrated three books on textile subjects, all published by Stemmer House Publishers. Her first E-book was published in early 2022. It’s available from Barnes and Noble and Apple.  A second E-book is in production, to be published later this year.
