Rehoboth Art League Through the Seasons

May 6, 2022 - June 5, 2022

Homestead

Opening Reception: Friday, May 6, 2022 (5pm to 7pm).

Since its beginning in 1938, the grounds of the Rehoboth Art League have been a source of inspiration for many artists. Its formal gardens and wooded pathways, the historic Peter Marsh Homestead that was built in 1743, the Paynter Studio that was the original Rehoboth Art League, and the numerous art events and educational programs are depicted throughout the seasons and years in renderings of all types of media, from pastel to oil painting, and from woodblock prints to photographs. The lush greenery and historic artifacts—many of which you can still find on campus—are abundant in many paintings. Enjoy these selected works from our Collections for a look back at how the campus has been interpreted by artists over the years. Later, wander outside to experience the campus through your own eyes.
