About the Exhibition

Open to all artists living in Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Virginia, West Virginia and Washington, D.C., this exhibition represents a strong collection of works by emerging and master-level fine artists and artisans. Forty-seven works were selected from a total of 375 submitted for consideration. In addition to a cash award, the winner of the Best in Show award is given the opportunity to have a solo exhibition in the Ventures Gallery, concurrent with the 9th Regional Juried Biennial Exhibition, in September, 2020.

About the Juror and Judge

We are pleased to welcome Ben Simons as this year’s juror and judge. Mr. Simons is the Director of the Academy Art Museum in Easton Maryland. He received a Masters of Arts and a Masters of Philosophy/AbD in English from Yale University. Previous positions have included the Robyn and John Davis Chief Curator of the Nantucket Historical Association, Campaign Office for the Smithsonian American Art Museum, and Board Member of the Maryland Citizens for the Arts
