About the Exhibition

Beyond the White Gardens consists of twenty works by Kasia Szczesniewski. They are made with rice paper, tissue paper, and acrylic paints, using special technique developed by the artist, and then covered with a protective layer of polymer varnish with ultraviolet filters and light stabilizers for protection from UV damage.

This exhibition allows viewers to explore the world of the artist’s imagination. Her creations intrigue the audience and encourage individual interpretations. The paper exudes warm, sensual energy, and black and white compositions calm overwhelmed senses, bombarded everyday with visual stimulation from electronics and annoying diversity of advertisements. Due to its organic feel, this art awakens connotations that most of us have when observing nature, but it leads the viewer beyond that, to the world of abstract thinking, it inspires to imagine the unknown and infinite.
