Color/Material/Transformation explores the dynamic relationship between color, material, and form through a body of work that moves between wall-based works, sculptural works and wearable art. The exhibition presents transformation not only as both physical processes but also a way of experiencing — where materials evolve, perceptions shift, and new forms emerge. Color and texture is the foundation of SuLi’s visual language. She experiences color and texture not only as visual elements, but as an emotional and sensory force that carries the energy of light, nature, memory and atmosphere. Through slow process of hand-felted wool, natural fibers and hand-crocheted monofilament, her own impressions of nature and memories are expressed and translated into various bright-hued, and tactile forms. By incorporating sustainable and reclaimed materials, SuLi seeks to create works that acknowledge our evolving relationship with the natural environment while celebrating the beauty and possibilities within these materials. At the heart of the exhibition is the idea of transformation: the journey from fragility to strength, ordinary material to innovative material, two-dimensional surfaces to three-dimensional forms. Through Color, Material, Transformation, the artist invites viewers to encounter the extraordinary within the ordinary — to experience how color evokes mood, how material becomes meaning, and how transformation reveals the endless possibilities of creation.
