Everything around us is formed by shapes.  We will have the campers break down objects and pictures into simple shapes.  Using multimedia, campers will combine shapes, textures, and colors to create masterpieces! 

Campers will explore their imaginations to create multimedia designs and projects. Acrylics, watercolors, pastels, paper sculptures, collages and more… Throughout the week there will be seasonal themes of Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall.

Tear, crumble, fold, paint, cut, roll, curl. We will use basic paper sculpture techniques to enhance their paper art creations.  The campers will also view the works of paper art artists like Richard Sweeney, Brian Dettmer and Shin Tanaka.  This will allow the campers to see how simple or complex this medium can be.

Camper will be spinning imaginative designs with yarn.  They will create pompoms, yarn glue balls, wall hangings, yarn paintings, weaving and finger knitting. 

Campers will explore the RAL gardens for fascinating objects in nature.  There will be a treasure hunt for rocks, flower petals, twigs, leaves, and other outdoor surprises.  The colors, shapes, and textures they observe will inspire their unique drawings, paintings, and sculptures.

A multimedia week!!  Campers will add water to paint, paper, glue, and baking soda.  Each day they will create projects using paint bubbles, paint marbling, watercolor, straw painting, paper mache, and more!
