Class Information

While your phone or TV projects light, your canvas does not.  If an artist has made you think there is a strong sense of light in a painting, it is done by using skills to create an illusion.  You will learn to understand how to create light by using dark, as well as aspects of color to contribute to the sense of distance in a painting.  The instructor will provide demonstrations and students will have an opportunity to practice the techniques demonstrated while painting in your medium of choice from a source photo provided by your instructor.
