It is interesting that knitting was once a male only occupation. Fortunately, times have changed, and knitting has become a fun and relaxing pastime for everyone. Learn the basic knitting techniques of cast on, knit, pearl, decrease, increase, and cast off. These few techniques will enable students to follow any beginner knitting pattern.
Supply List
Knitting worsted weight (4) yarn. Two skeins in a color of your choice.
If you are purchasing your yarn from Michael’s “Impeccable” is a good brand for learning. Please DO NOT purchase Caron Simply Soft” as the yarn splits easily and makes knitting difficult. When choosing a color, please do not purchase black or navy. Dark colors make it difficult to see the knitted stitches especially when learning.
If you are choosing two skeins of the same color, make sure they have the same dye lot.
