Class Information
Should you do a pencil/charcoal drawing on your canvas? Or maybe project or transfer? Or possibly draw with a brush? Or maybe create big shapes first? What about toning? All these questions and more are addressed in this class. You will begin up to 3 paintings in class, to be continued on your own. The focus here is how to pick and use the best approach to begin a painting, based on the needs of the specific painting.
Instructor will provide photographs from which to paint.

Students bring the materials for the medium in which they plan to work.
You should have canvases or panels no smaller than 9/12 and no larger than 16/20 (Canvas Paper is acceptable for oil or acrylic)
